Censorship and Empowerment: Women in Music

With panelists from Iran, France, Sri Lanka, Ukraine and Argentina, the seminar "Censorship and Empowerment: Women in Music" (Facebook event here) will facilitate on global insights on how female artists overcome different dynamics of censorship and empower themselves through music. Even though there will be a special focus in countries where there exists specific restrictions that limit women’s ability to take part in culture, it will explore how women still face different micro-dynamics of censorship or self-censorship around the world.
